What Causes Severe Pain And Restricted Movement In The Shoulders?
I am a 61 year old female who roller skates with her granddaughters. I fell and jammed my shoulder. Wrists are fine had my wrist braces on. however my shoulder hurt with some types of movements. I can not reach over my head and I have very little external rotation. I was thinking ice would be my best choice. any other suggestions?
The ice application will help with analgesic and anti inflammatory medications as ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Local analgesic spray or ointment with diclofenac and linseed oil or camphor are additional tools to get better recovery. Later as per the recovery pattern, you may need to consult your primary care for as and when needed X-ray or MRI.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
