What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling In Abdomen Along With Tailbone Pain?

I had severe stomach pain, where I almost couldn t walk. I got myself in the bath, but came seriously close to dialing 911. It felt like knifes going and ripping my intestines open, with a slight swelling of my abdomen, and tailbone pain, like a pressure. In the bath the pain slowly went away. It has now passed, but I am not 100 % yet. It has been happening on and off for a week, but there are times where I can t eat, because the pain is too severe. I am scheduled for an ultrasound, but not for another two weeks. What is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for the concern. According to the history you have stomach pain but it is not clear that which part of abdomen is paining the most. but according to your description you might have some intestinal infection so you should take antibiotics (ofloxacin and ornidazole combination) and avoid spicy food and wheat. and take more curd in your meals.
