What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling In Gums Post Root Canal Treatment?

Hi there I had a root canal on Monday in the front right canine, I am in a lot of pain and swollen, I have been taking Advil every six hours with Tylenol in between ,there is an infection, I am on erythromycin, I had a nose bleed two days before the root canal, and tonight I had a long nosebleed, that finally stopped, it scared me pretty good, looking online, it looks to much Advil thinned my blood, so I am going to take 1000mg Tylenol. What are your thoughts, should I only go with Tylenol?

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your chief complain a tooth infection causing swelling indicates you have an abscess formation leading to perforation in the nasal floor causing bleeding from nose..

Any infection in the sinus can also cause bleeding from nose..

It could be occurring due to allergy or side effect of medicine if the first time it happened after taking some medicine..

I would suggest you to inform your dentist about it and if any x ray or change in medicine is required to confirm the cause can be done..

As the treatment will be successfully completed hopefully the problem of nose bleeding will subside..

Hope your query is solved..

Thanks and regards..
