Hi! I woke up one morning with my knee in pain. Assuming it was a growing pain, I ignored it and went to school. Around fourth period, I couldn t put weight on it or bend it. Then in fifth period it started swelling. I ve been wearing a compression sleeve for a week now and I can NOT walk up or down stairs with out any pain. I think I might ve twisted or torn something in my sleep (Yes, I m one of those kinds of sleepers), but I m not totally sure. Thanks for the help! :)
Hi..Can understand your concern..As per your query about swelling and pain in your knee seems to be a ligamental injury. It may have got injured during any movements while sleeping .you need to take NSAID like Aceclo-MR (ask your parents to give) twice a day.Compression bandage will be continued.Take rest.If no relief is seen you should go for an x ray and a physician or orthopaedic doctor for proper evaluation and treatment.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
