What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling In Knee?

I have noticed my knee area (back, front and sides) was becoming painful so far to the point now I can hardly bend the leg. I have just looked at it and it is swollen in the front above the cap and on the sides. The pain resonates down my leg to my foot. I have been installing hardwood flooring the last few weeks on my knees. This pain came on gradually after the floor work.It is very painful, especially above the knee cap. Walking doesn t increase the pain. Bending the knee however, is next impossible due to the pain
