What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling In Right Cheek With A Loose Molar?
I have a loose molar on my right side it is so,bad that my cheek has began to swell up along with the gum below it is the worst pain ever it s a throbbing pain it has a missing part on top please help me I tried pulling it out but it hurts to the touch
The tooth might be loose due to the abscess underneath and may become firm after the abscess is drained.
I would advise you to visit a dentist and go for drainage of the abscess along with root canal treatment or extraction of the concerned tooth, depending on the extent of the carious involvement of the tooth. You will have to go for x-ray of the tooth at the dentist's clinic.
As you are in severe pain right now, you can take Ibuprofen 400 mg or Ketorolac 10 mg up to thrice in a day to control the pain till you get appointment of the dentist. The tooth will stop paining once it is treated. Avoid any heat application over the area.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah

What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling In Right Cheek With A Loose Molar?
Hello, I can understand your concern. As the upper part of the molar is missing and you are having severe throbbing pain, it seems that you are having irreversible pulpitis and periapical abscess in the tooth. The tooth might be loose due to the abscess underneath and may become firm after the abscess is drained. I would advise you to visit a dentist and go for drainage of the abscess along with root canal treatment or extraction of the concerned tooth, depending on the extent of the carious involvement of the tooth.
