What Causes Severe Pain Around The Shoulder Blade?
Hi, i am a 26 yr old female with no noncontributing past medical history. I noticed about 3 days ago upon waking in the morning, a constant deep throbbing pain around my lower left scapular, of an intensity of 8/10, exacerbated by breathing and laying on my back, no known calming or associating factors, i thought it must have been due to a bad posture which must have stretched a muscle i haven t stretched in a long while. but its getting worrisome everyday
It is because of bad posture while lying or sleeping. Another reason may be that you are fat and are bending your spine to do work at a table lower than your hands can reach while standing. Try sleeping on a flat hard bed for a few days without pillow or pillow under the shoulders. You can also try some Non Steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine. If at all ,do your liver function tests-the enzymes and Bilirubin. If there is hepatic enlargement It can cause pressure on the diaphragm-the partition between thorax and abdomen. Also if there is inflammation of Gall Bladder because of a stone or otherwise, that can cause shoulder blade pain. Godspeed.
