Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been to five doctors (one and ear, nose and throat specialist), been in the emergency room and no doctor can tell me what s wrong. For 1 week know I have have stabbing, intermittent pain behind my right ear. No ear infection, no fluid found and yet they put me on an antibiotic which I have been taking for almost a week. Unless I take pain killers the stabbing pain is constant and jabs me about every 5/10 seconds. I am desperate.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Please get your cervical spine viewed by X-ray, MRI or CT scan after advice of a spine specialist. Cervical spondylitis with nerve compression can cause such pain to be thought after sinus or ear infection is excluded.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
