for the past several months I am having severe pain upper stomach, in the middle of my ribs cage going to the right. most severe when I drink wine, any food goes right thru me, was on methotraxate for several years, could this be an underlying liver problem
Underlying liver problem is not that much convincing, u may probably be suffering from gastro esophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer or less commonly gall stones. It is better to loose weight, reduce caffeinated drinks, but if symptoms not improved than further investigationys and treatment will be required.
