Prolong coughing causes excessive use of chest muscle which in turn can cause chest muscle pain while breathing. Control your cough, and most likely the pain will go slowly.
Do look for warning signs associated with chest pain like breathing difficulty, nausea or pain radiating to left hand, sweating. If any of these occurs along with chest pain, immediately visit the nearest hospital.
