What Causes Severe Pain Below The Eye Radiating To The Neck?

My boyfriend slapped me ver hard several times a week ago, blackened my right eye and now I have extreme pain on the bone under my right eye and my right ear feels blocked and the pain runs down my neck. What could be going on and what can I do to ease the pain?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain below the eye radiating to the neck. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like sinusitis as you also mention , ear infection , TMJ problem or cervical problem . Eat soft , apply warm compresses to TMJ , restrict movement of your jaw for few days and do not open it wide .I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin , anti allergic in case of allergy , decongestant or expectorant . Doctor may also refer you to dentist for TMJ problem or orthopedic surgeon in case of neck problem . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
