General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
The problems you are facing ,knee pain and twitching may be due to age related osteoporosis due to calcium deficiency .Twitching of muscle may also be caused due to stress or anxiety.
If I were your treating doctor,I recommend,
-Take tablet ibuprofen twice a day for couple of days along with cap omez once in morning.
-Calcium-cholecalciferol supplement ,1 tablet in morning everyday.
-Warm compresses around knee if associated stiffness present
-Balanced diet including more of spinach, dairy products, nuts like almonds, walnut, sesame, flax seeds for bone health.
-Exercise like brisk walking for 30 minutes everyday.
-if still pain persists, certain investigations like serum calcium level,,X ray knee, bone mineral density scan will be needed and further action taken accordingly.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards.
