Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM I have read and understood your concern I wish to find out if the pain is to the right or left side of your body.Causes of such pains vary with location of pain whether to the right or to the left.However, many medical conditions may cause pain below rib cage.Some possible causes may include: -Respiratory pathologies -Digestive problems like GERD, digestive infections -Liver, gallbladder, pancreatic or splenic pathologies -Renal causes also exist like kidney stones and UTI I will advise you see the Doctor for examination and if need be, tests.Tests that may help identify cause of your pain may include: chest x ray, abdominal ultrasound/scan and depending on the Doctor s diagnostic orirentation after physical examination, other tests may be requested.In the meantime, pain drugs like aceclofenac may help.
