What Causes Severe Pain Below The Ribs On The Right Side?

I fell on a table last week. I had annoying pain in my ribs right below my left pectoral. Today it popped. The pain was immediate, severe, and to the point it hurt to move and breathe. It pops from time to time now when I breathe. Bruised, cracked, broken, or other damage?

The possibility of acute cholecystitis, liver swelling or disturbances in the bile drainage system.

An ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis would be of immense help.
