What Causes Severe Pain Between The Upper Rib Cage And Breasts?

I am having shooting pain in my upper right rib cage and below my breasts, and it happens at the bottom of my rib cage as well. It comes in spurts like a shock and hurts so bad. Sort of seems like something got all twisted up and is trying to untwist, if that makes any sense. Every now and then it happens at the bottom of my left rib cage as well. I never know when its going to happen although now and then if I make a certain move with my arm and reaching towards my back it will set it off and give me one heck of a jolt. Do you have any idea what it could be or what s happening? I would appreciate your thoughts, and thank you for your time with this.

Hello,

It may be an inflammation of costocartilages present in the chest. Do not worry.

You should do some tests:

1. Chest X-Ray
2. ECG (to rule of any cardiovascular problems)
3. USG of liver
4. Blood Test including Amylase, lipase
5. Liver Function Test

You may think so many tests. Because I am not risking any possibilities. So, at once, I am telling you to do all these.

The results are very important. You can give another post of the question with all the results. In the meantime, you can take OTC Pain relievers.
