What Causes Severe Pain Followed By Numbness Behind The Ear?

Yes thank you I am experience pain in my head approximately 2 inches to the right of my left ear and 3 inches above my neck. I thought it was due to sleeping with my head in an awkward position a couple of nights ago but the pain persists. if feels as if my nerve is pinched and a few moments ago i began to experience numbness in the same area.
