What Causes Severe Pain From The Thighs To The Knees?

I normally have arthritis and fibromyalgia but just a min ago I got a sharp dull pain in my lower thigh to my upper knee I am not walking I was sitting when this pain started and it hasn t stopped. It is throbbing right now after the initial pain hit. Should I be worried?

Hi,

This looks like you have got a condition called meralgia paresthetica. There is a nerve in the thigh which sometimes get trapped in the soft tissue and given pain in the thigh.

This is mostly not a serious condition and resolves itself. You can apply heat pack and take some painkiller at the moment.

However, if you have any weakness, rash, or very severe pain then you should consult your dr.
