General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Nerve compression syndromes can be suspected in your case. It can be from intervertebral disc herniation or cervical spondylosis or from the level below that. A physical examination by an orthopaedician and nerve conduction studies will be helpful to rule out this. X ray and MRI might be required to confirm it also. NSAIDs like ketoprofen, muscle relaxants like tizanidine and neurotropic drugs like pregabalin and methyl cobalamin will be helpful. Physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises along with this should be done also. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
