What Causes Severe Pain In Back And Neck During 12weeks Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 12 weeks pregnant with severe pain in the back of my neck. It started on Sunday morning (I don t think it has anything to do with my sleeping position) . I spoke with my friend last night who mentioned that it could be pregnancy related as the glands relating to the reproductive system are at the back of the neck. Is this possible? Thanks

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Pain in the back of the neck is likely due to muscle spasms.
No gland of the reproductive system is located on the back of the neck.
I will suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for proper examination, investigations and treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
