What Causes Severe Pain In Back Around The Kidney Area?

Severe pain on left side in back about where kidney would be no blood in urine no infection can't walk very well an has trouble bending lying down walking pain excrutiating past three days. Er said possible sciatica but it's not where that pain would normally be. What else could cause such bad pain.

Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition like kidney stone , kidney infection , appendicitis , pancreatitis or liver swelling . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , endoscopy and ultrasound . Doctor may also refer you to nephrologist for kidney function test . Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , ornidazole along with analgesic . For now eat healthy , eat more fibrous food , avoid eating spicy and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Doctor may also recommend surgical removal of appendix .
