What Causes Severe Pain In Breasts, Swollen Ankles And Mild Fever?

Hi, I am 43 years old. For last one week I have severe pain in my both breasts and nipples are erect and hard. There is unnatural swelling in my body especially in ankles. Feeling irritated and fatigue . Last two days has mild fever also. Periods are due on 11 July.

Hi

1. Going by your age it is probably the Menopausal symptoms which you are experiencing or

2. It could be because of an infection, abscess, cyst, so in the best interest, it is wise to consult a gynecologist for a Mammogram [to examine the breast for diagnosis and screening.

3. PS. As a rule of thumb: after the age of 35 years self-breast examination every month and if one notices any lump, discharge, or skin change, it should be reported immediately.

4. Carcinoma of the breast if detected early is completely curable, a breast lump is to be considered malignant [unless proved otherwise] and if it comes normally only thereafter lifestyle changes, alternative medicines, and medications [HRT], can be discussed.
