I am having severe pain in my chest like a knife is cutting me inside. I feel the need to burp and when I do it hurts even worse...I have pain in the rough of my mouth and on my tongue as well and this has been going on for five days now and I am about ready to go to the er. What could it be? I had a heart attack in 2006 but feels different...
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Since you have previous history of heart attack, you need to get evaluated immediately for the severe pain in the chest you are complaining of. It is grave emergency situation as heart attack needs to be ruled out. Kindly get admitted and checked for: 1. Electrocardiogram. 2. Echocardiogram with colour doppler. 3. Cardiac Troponin and CK-MB levels in blood. 4. Blood pressure and Oxygen saturation. In case there is any indication of cardiac involvement, you need to be treated accordingly from a Cardiologist. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
