What Causes Severe Pain In Heart Along With Difficulty In Breathing During Nights?

Hi there, I have extreme pain in my heart area and difficulty in breathing especially when I sleep at night(I also have not been able to sleep on my left side because my pain in the heart increases when I sleep on my left side) this has been going on for the past 10 years and every year goes by the pain gets worse. I have done ekg and blood test and x-rays and all of them are normal. What could that be?

Hi,

It doesn't seem to be due to your heart and seems muscular most likely as heart pain isn't positional. Also normal EKG etc have ruled it out mostly. You should use OTC analgesic like acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Muscle relaxants like Orphenidine or Tizaindine may also be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
