What Causes Severe Pain In Hip, Shoulder And Knees Along With Palpitations?

I have been having episodes of severe pain in my hip, shoulder and knees accompanied with lower back and left side tenderness, heart palpitations. I have also notice that when this occurs my urine has a strong smell of ammonia. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, could this be signs of it getting worse ?

Hi.

Noted your history of diagnosed case of fibromyalgia, developed pains in shoulder, hip and knees, lower back and left sided tenderness, urine smells ammonia when in attack.
As per the history you have provided this looks to be increased attack of fibromyalgia causing stretched tendons over the joints causing pains or can be due to primary joint problems due to arthritis wherein the cause has to be found by relevant blood tests and other investigations.
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor can help you further.
Also get urine checked when it smells like ammonia.
And get treated accordingly.
Avoid stress and anxiety as these are the commonest instigating or enhancing factors.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
