What Causes Severe Pain In Joints Post Withdrawal From Qsymia?
Hello I was taking qsymia for 1 month and stopped due to not feeling well. However, 4 days after I stopped I got pretty intense joint pain ? I am a dentist and have a history of back and neck pain and carps; tunnel but now it is all so much worse. Any idea ?
As per my clinical experience, the Qsymia contains combination of Phenteramine an appetite suppressor and Topiramate as an anti convulsant property. The side effects of the Qsymia are many and the common ones are: - Dizziness - Insomnia - Headache - Body ache - Constipation - Dry mouth - Tingling sensation
The severe pain in joints are in concern with sudden withdrawal of Qsymia, which should have been tapered gradually over a period of 3-4 weeks for smooth outcome.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
