What Causes Severe Pain In Left Hand?

I felt extreme pain like pins and needles poking my left hand (I am a lefty) while pushing the grocery cart touching the metal part of the handle then relieved touching the plastic part in the middle? Could I have an underlying heart condition? 27 y/o female g2 p2 with hypothyroidism 5 2 140lb 1 1/2 months pp. please advice!
