Hello,
As you had the past history of the
bulging disc at the L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels then this may be related to the same. We need to check the SLRT in a supine lying position.
Post which an
MRI is guided if the past medical history was more than 12 months old. Either it can be a prolapse now or herniation but we need to check the MRI for the same.
If it's not entering the canal and not making any
paresis to the limb then with
physiotherapy treatment like -
TENS therapy,
Ultrasound therapy, lumbosacral traction therapy (automatic/manual) and exercise for the core, spinal extensor muscles, and lower limb should help.
You should make a
rehabilitation plan for yourself and perform regular exercises at home.
Since these are recurrent injuries due to
muscle weakness over a period of time due to posture or any physical activity you should never miss out doing exercises.
In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most cases seen with disc bulging are never turned up with pain due to the long term rehabilitation program.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
