What Causes Severe Pain In Left Shoulder While Sleeping At Night?
Hello my name is Juana and I would like to know what is ring with my left shoulder and under my left arm it s very painful and at night when I lay down and lay on my left shoulder it really hurts it s very sore. I know about three years ago I spoke with a doctor about my shoulder and he said it was my rotator cuff but it under my arm did not hurt then
Severe pain in the left shoulder may be due to rotator cuff issues, frozen shoulder, bone spurs, pinched nerve in the shoulder, torn cartilage or arthritis. However, pain radiating from the left shoulder to the left arm may be indicative of cardiac problems like Angina or developing coronary artery disease(CAD). You are suggested to get clinically assessed by a GP. Get stress test, Echo, X-ray, EKG, CBC, etc done to rule out any developing CAD. You will be treated according to the pathology detected. Stay away from addictions if any, maintain low BMI. Take home made healthy food & stay away from junk oily food. Do regular walking, avoid stress & take adequate sleep.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
