What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Back, Hip And Abdominal Discomfort?
I have been having pretty severe lower back pain, hip pain and abdominal discomfort. I am 28yr old white female, with a 26 month old child. The hip back and abdomenal paid is all generalized in my waist/pelvic line. No time to go to Dr, very busy. Just thinking maybe its sciatic nerve, but that doesnt explain constant abdomenal discomfort...
Hi, Usually, abdominal discomfort is not related to backache. Involvement of sciatic nerve can't be predicted just by one symptom however I would advise you to get it investigated if it lingers around for more than few weeks by getting an X-ray done. If the condition doesn't get resolved then you may get an MRI also done which is more definitive.
Diagnosis of abdominal discomfort depends upon the area involved and association of other symptoms like loose stools, nausea, vomiting, fever, type of pain, association with food, blood in stool etc. I would advise you to visit your doctor to get yourself examined for it.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
