Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for your beloved husband.
Features are suggestive of occupational hazard involving the lungs due welding.
From the history given your husband seems to be suffering from lung disease due to chronic exposure to welding. The welding process contains various hazardous agents such as carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, ozone, phosgene, tungsten, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, manganese, nickel, silver, tin, and zinc.
So, the chronic exposure to such harmful agents can result in lung function impairment, obstructive and
restrictive lung disease, cough,
dyspnea,
rhinitis, asthma,
pneumonitis,
pneumoconiosis, and cancer of the lungs.
I would therefore advise you to take your husband to a physician or pulmonologist for proper clinical evaluation and certain lab tests such as Chest Xray or CT scan for proper diagnosis and treatment.
