What Causes Severe Pain In Neck And Shoulder While On Nexavar For Liver Cancer?

My husband was diagnosed with liver cancer and was put on nexavar he has been on it for eight days and has severe neck and shoulder pain he can t move his head and cannot sleep called his dr she said if he can t tolerate the pain he should stop for a few days! Is that a good idea?

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the Nexavar is an immunotherapy used
for variety of clinical conditions of cancer therapy.

There are many side effects of this therapy as

- GI upset
- nausea and vomitng
- diarrhea
- generalised rash
- tiredness and malaise
- lethargy
- sleep problems
- thin hair
- others

As your husband is having severe neck and shoulder cramps, it obviously co relate with the myalgia type side effect of the same and hence its further doses should be withheld till further meeting with your doc.
