Hi, I m a 40 yr old with extreme pain in rectum without bleeding. Feels like pooping sticks out. Also swollen testicles and when I urinate its a stop go stream. Any ideas what could be causing this very uncomfortable situation? No previous health record. Weigh 200 lbs 5 ft 6 in
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain in the rectum without bleeding can be due to some swelling or growth in the rectum. Feeling of feces sticking to the rectum is a symptom of some growth in the rectum. Swollen testicles can be seen in case of trauma, hydrocele and varicocele. A clinical assessment required to rule out these conditions. Stoppage of urinary stream suggests some abnormality in prostate. Prostate enlargement is often associated with poor urine stream thus examination of prostate gland with ultrasonography and digital examination is required. Consult an urologist for clinical assessment and further management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
