What Causes Severe Pain In Rib Cage Radiating To The Back Post Miscarriage?
Hi, I had a miscarriage on Jan 29,2016 and I am feeling very strong pain in ribs left side and spread gradually to whole back from feb 2,2016. I contact to doctor and they said it is because of muscle stretching. They prescribe me flexeril. I had taken the medicine but it makes me very sleepy. I took the medicine for 2 days. As I stop the medicine again The pain start. I do not know how long the pain will occur. Is it really a muscle pain or something else? Could any dr. suggest me?
The pain may be due to muscle spasm (contractions) but it may be best to have it assessed because in many it is not as severe as your description though it can be rarely.
Most muscle relaxants would make a person sleeping, this is a common side effect. The use of an anti inflammatory pain killer may help eg naproxen, cataflam, ibuprofen
I hope this helps
