What Causes Severe Pain In Ribs And Shoulders While Walking And Sneezing?
Hi there I have pain at the bottom of my ribs on the left side but it only happens when I sneeze coughing doesn t bother me. I have also been experiencing sharp pains in the ride side ribs and it only happens when I walk...my shoulder is also hurting when I walk it feels like a cold numbing pain and it hurts so bad I am almost in tears plz help
Hello and welcome to HCM, Pain at the lower side of the ribs while sneezing, coughing and walking is indicative of some disease process involving the pleura. Pleura is the double layer covering which encloses the lungs. Any disease process like infection, inflammation involving the pleura will cause sharp pain in the chest region. I suggest you to consult an physician preferably a pulmonologist or chest specialist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations to find out the cause of the symptoms and thus management
