What Causes Severe Pain In Ribs?

Hello Sir I have a severe pain in my ribs left and right both and my back too is paining. I don t know why, doctor asked me to get some tests done, but please advise me with something or please tell me or gv me an idea what problem it can be. Many thanks Sapna

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in ribs . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like broken rib , injuries to the chest , inflamed lining of the lungs , muscle spasms and inflamed rib cartilage . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically by palpation and order X-ray to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may fix if there is any fracture and ask you to restrict your movements for few days . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and multivitamin for quick recovery . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist .
