What Causes Severe Pain In Right Ankle After Having Ankle Surgery?

I had ankle surgery 19 weeks ago several weeks later I had orthoscopic surgery to remove excesss scar tissue .Now it is 3 months later and I am having pain on my lower right side of my right ankle.It has caused me to be unable to walk without severe pain.What is going on?

Hi.

First, an xray will be required of the region and then even arthroscopy if possible. It is difficult to asses the cause without examining the ankle myself or without being the one who operated on you.

I dont even know what surgery you underwent other than the location of it. It could do with scar tissue itself or with possible injury to ligaments or tendons. It would be best if you speak to the operating surgeon.
