my 26 year old daughter has severe pain on her right lower abdomen, she had d. fragilis 8 months ago and had a course of antibiotics. is it possible for this to flare up again. she has had ct and ultrasound which has shown nothing. she has had this pain on and off for around 8 years with several different diagnosis
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in right lower abdomen . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like appendicitis , ovulation pain , right kidney stones , ovarian cyst , constipation or ectopic pregnancy . I would suggest you to consult gynecologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound and take history . Doctor may refer you to general surgeon for surgical removal of appendix , nephrologist for kidney stone or infection may prescribe analgesic or recommend surgery in case of ectopic pregnancy and cyst . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
