Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, i am a 22 year old female and I have recently begun to get pain in my right nipple every time I teach at the instructional pool i work in. It only happens when i am in the pool and goes away when i begin to dry off. We have recently dropped the temperature of the facility due to some renovations in the competition pool and the competition swimmers need the water to be colder than our usual instructional pool temperature. It happens a minutes after i ve been in the water (i teach for an hour and a half) and is extremely painful until I dry off or i begin moving in the water alot. I think it may just be the cold water, but i was wondering if there could be any other reason. They don t hurt in cold weather only in the pool.
It might happens due to the cold water as a reaction the muscles contracts and it is experienced as a pain. If lasts more than discuss with your doctor to do a breast ultrasound.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
