General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be muscular. Costochondral pains or muscles between ribs may be sprained or pulled.

If the CT chest is normal, it means no gross lung or skeletal deformity is present.

Using OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful for symptomatic relief.

Muscle relaxants like tizanidine or orphenadrine should be used along. Topical capsaicin gels may also be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
