What Causes Severe Pain In Shoulder Blade Along With Nausea And Burning Eyes?

I have been having a pain in my shoulder blade near to the spine. It gets worse only at times but it is always there and it doesn t really hurt to move. I also have sever redness across my face. It burns like I m sunburned or have been slapped. My eyes burn too. Sometimes I have a fine rash pop up on my arms but it doesn t last but a couple of hours. I don t have fever. I do get really tired throughout the day. I also feel nauseated a lot. I do still have an appetite. I am Vitamin D deficient but taking the supplement makes my body hurt. I have not injured myself.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi,

Pain and duration and location suggests more of neuropathic pain origin. We have to look for causes of peripheral neuropathy and treat accordingly. MRI of the spine full screening of the cord would be beneficial to rule out compression on the cord. Viral markers and other toxins to be ruled out for non compressive causes.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
