General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dawn,

It seems that the pain in your shoulder blade associated with chest pain could be related possible local inflammation of shoulder blade and vertebral spine with pinched nerve.

I advise to:
- apply analgesic cream locally
- take over the counter analgesic cream
- take magnesium supplement
- massage with essential oils

If the pain will get worse, and if you'll get difficulty in breathing should go to ER for immediate evaluation and treatment.

Wish fast recovery.
