General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sorry to hear about your pain. The said side effects are not commonly associated with Eliquis, and are nor reported as side effects of the drug. But a very important point is not to stop the drug. You must not stop the drug without your doctor advice as there are chances of a blood clot which may be serious. So if you don't feel well with the drug, let your doctor know, he may advise you another blood thinner.

I would also recommend being evaluated for the pain and high sugar as these may not be caused by the drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
