Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing rather severe pain in the abdomen, but with no diarrhea or nausea. The pain started during the night and was in the middle of my belly. By morning it was in my lower abdomen and very painful. It is painful to the touch. When I urinate there is pain at the end of the emptying, but not at the beginning. It is more of an ache than I have experienced with cystisis in the past. I have had chills and a low fever a couple of times.
It would be best to be seen since the pain is severe. With severe abdominal pain, surgical causes need to be ruled out, that is appendicitis particularly since you also have tenderness and fever. This would require physical examination of the abdomen and possible imaging such as ultrasound as well. Since there is discomfort on urination, a urinalysis would also be needed.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
