Hi I ve been having this sharp stabbing like pain that s been consistent the last couple of days and slowly getting worse. It hurts as I get into my car, when I laugh, trying to poop.. My mother who s a nurse said it might be because I m ovulating but I don t know.. The pain isn t terrible but it is worrying since its been the last 3 days.... The same thing happened about 2 weeks ago with back and stomach pain and I went to the ER and got my gallbladder removed I left recently so I d rather not go back in under a month. Hope to hear back from you soon!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan to look for any possible intraabdominal causes,

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
