Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have had unbearable stomach pain for the past couple of weeks and it gradually gets worse every day, when i wake up in the morning it is very mild, but in the afternoon and evening it starts getting very painful, when night time comes it is very hard to sleep and i have to look for certain positions to sleep in that dont hurt as much as others.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If you have progressively increasing pain which even disturbs your sleep it needs to be investigated. It would have been better if you have mentioned other associated symptoms.
The symptoms of concern are whether there are associated bowel symptoms, loss of appetite, weight loss, tiredness, etc.
My advice is you should have thorough workup including blood investigations, physical examination, and a contrast enhanced CT.
You should consult a surgeon for workup.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Meera Rajeev
