Hello,
As per my clinical experience, the pain in Adam's apple is related to inflammation induced irritation post
hay fever episode. The Adam's apple is also known as
thyroid cartilage and is most prominent laryngeal cartilage seen through the inspection of anterior of the neck. Infection of upper and lower respiratory tracts are far more commonly associated with such issues.
My guidelines of better recovery:
- Do gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil 3 times a day
- Avoid aerated drinks and
cold drinks, ice cream
- Continue antibiotic, decongestant, anti-inflammatory, antIbiotics as per the prescription of your doctor
- Consume balanced nutritious diet to combat your immunity
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
