What Causes Severe Pain In The Arm,elbow And Chest?

I have been having pain in my arms, more so from the elbows down to the hands. yesterday I had a few bouts of quick sharp pains in my chest and left arm. the bouts never lasted more than a couple of seconds. I am 49 and worry about my heart, but I had a stress test 2 months ago and everything was fine. is this signs of a heart attack

The signs of heart attack are- discomfort( uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain) in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back , pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach, Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort, cold sweat, nausea or light headedness. There are many conditions that can cause sharp chest pains, when you're eating a less-than-ideal diet, the culprit of your pains may be heartburn or some similar gastric upset triggered by stress and greasy food. Stress can also trigger heartburn. Stress-management tools or relaxation exercises might be useful if you think stress could be contributing to your situation.
Pathology in lungs ,cervical spondylosis etc also cause heart pain and also left arm pain.to diagnose correctly physical examination and some relevant investigations are required.so you better consult a qualified physician who can guide you in diagnosis as well as treatment.
