General & Family Physician, Dr. Maninder's Response
Hi,
As per the symptoms described by you, according to my assessment, the first possibility is of disc disease due to the nerve involved that causes pain in the arm and shoulder.
But as per the description provided by you, the pain in the hand seems to be due to the vein issue only.
To manage that and lessen the pain, I would suggest you to do warm compresses at the area and try to keep the part at little elevated position to lower the pain and swelling.
If the pain is quite bothersome, you can take a pain killer like Combiflam that will help in inflammation as well along with the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Maninder, General & Family Physician
