What Causes Severe Pain In The Calf While Walking?

I recently have started to experience very week lower calf pain and cannot walk very much contniusley because the pain is excruciating. I am a diabetic type 2 on insulin and had back surgery about 3 years ago of a herniated disk in my lower back. But I didn t have the pain until about a year ago.

If you develop pain on walking few steps it means you have claudication which is a sign of arterial insufficiency which is a complication of diabetes. You really need to consult your physician to look for any other signs of arterial insufficiency and halt the process. The best thing to do is to have strict control of sugar level.
