What Causes Severe Pain In The Center Of The Chest?
I am having bad chest pain in the center of my chest. It s most prominent when i wake up. While popping my back does ease some of it, it doesn t fix all of it. the pain worsens when bending forward, sneezing, and when i move my arms close together. I had surgery 2 years ago to remove my gallbladder, these pains have been going on for at least a month. Is this something serious? I dont have insurance so i dont want to do tests unless i really need to.
Hi and welcome to HCM. These are typical symptoms of ischemic heart disease and it requires evaluation. This may indicate specific heart ischemic issues such as angina pectoris or heart arrithmias and this should be definitely evaluated by cardiologist and you need to do at least ECG, heart ultrasound and ergometry. Also, you should check your blood pressure and regulated body mass, avoid smoking. Other risk factors should be established and prevented but at this point serious issues must be ruled out and the need for invasive angiography discussed with doctor. Wish you good health. Regards
